Terra Firma Diptych-Triptych

I first took diptychs and triptychs to show time lapse and later would devise a way to capture a scene in its entirety on a monumental scale. I wanted to freeze a 180-degree perspective in time, as if you were standing before a grand view of nature. Because panoramic lenses skew the scene or make it seem very distant from the lens, I wanted to somehow stitch images together while keeping the photograph as similar to our human eye as possible. If only to make the viewer feel like they were dropped in front of the landscape—moving their eyes left to right and up and down. I then mastered the technique of overlapping images in order to gain one seamless perspective of time and space on a very large scale. I want to mimic the human eye as much as possible and I feel there is no single shot lens that can do so.
